Do or Die

So I'm going to jump in with both feet and participate in NaNoBloMo... again. I've tried this before and my stick-to-it-ness is not as reliable as my stick-it-to-it-ness. I totally just made that up, like, right now. High five.

I'm going to kick start the month with the suggested prompt, which is "How would your life change if you didn't have to pay your rent/mortgage?" And since we currently pay both a rent AND a mortgage, I've got a ready answer for that question.

If I had $2,000'ish in extra, expendable, monthly income, how would my life change? I'd definitely (probably) cut back to part time work. I'd let Carlie double up on dance lessons (cha-ching). And I'd buy a fucking iPad before they're, like, so last year.

How about you?

PS: Happy fall!

I'd join a gym and hire a personal trainer.

The rest, I'd bank against a future trip.

We would go to Europe every year.

Here, let me continue with Cheri's comment:

I'd like to teach the world to sing in perfect harmony. I'd like to hold it in my arms and keep it company.

Dang! With everyone saving the world and all, with love and stuff, I feel a little shallow about traveling with my kids more.

How about if we serve the Coke-drinking peeps while we're out & about?

(Truthfully, I would probably just do more of the same around here. I'm ridiculously simple.)

I had a similar answer :-)

OK. I forgot that I had student loans. And children. So maybe I'd pay off the loans (our only debt besides mortgage, booyah) and bank some money for kids' college funds, weddings, bail, etc.
