On that note, I made contact with a paralegal at one of the local firms via email, which said, "I have some Christmas treats to drop off at your office in order to ingratiate myself to the legal assistants and drum up work. What's a good day/time?"
So I'm heading over there Monday morning, armed with cookies, to try to sway them into putting me at the top of their court reporter list.
Please send good luck vibes and easy-but-tasty cookie recipes.

ugh, sorry you are sick, hopefully seely is making you feel better.
that sounds like a great contact for work !!!
I never underestimate the power of being seen, and treats.
I'm a big believer in treats and kindness.
It's good for the soul, even if it doesn't produce job leads (but I think it helps).
Feel better soon, dear.
wellness energy coming your way :-)
1 bag chocolate chips
1 bag butterscotch chips
1 can spanish peanuts
1 can chow mein noodles
Melt chocolate and butterscotch chips. Mix in peanuts and 3 quarters can of noodles. Scoop small spoonfuls of mixture onto wax paper-covered cookie sheets and refrigerate. Wa-lah. Instant cookie goodness. :) This will do the trick!!
Food bribes work. And do I have recipes for you. I'll email you later - chocolate mocha cookies, ginger cookies, etc.
Awesome ideas with the cookies. Food Network is doing 12 days of Christmas cookies. You should also check out this site http://www.taunton.com/finecooking/collections/holiday-cookies.aspx?collection=73828
The Kalhua cookies caught my eye. Make something easy but memorable - a great chance to WOW!
