Delicious

Just home from seeing "Twilight" with Erinna (my 15-yro) and I am crushing hard on Rob Pattison. Like big time. He's now my second favorite man on earth in the secret boyfriend category, first place still being held by the bartender from Saturday night.

Finished the Book

I finished "Breaking Dawn" at midnight last night. If you're reading the Twilight saga, all I'll say it's VERY DIFFERENT than the first three books. It was really good, but different. I won't say anymore!

behold the wonder...

... Of the last copy sold at the Jantzen Beach Barnes and Noble tonight.

People strolled in at midnight and got in line behind us. I politely informed them that they needed a wrist band. Someone went to the counter and came back and said, no we don't. And they stood in line. When we got to the counter, we got the last book and those behind us were sent away sad and empty-handed. I tried to tell them! And I did it nicely, too, not in a nanner-nanner-boo-boo look at my wrist band kind of way.

And how much of an adult am I? We only got one copy and I let Erinna have it.

12:17 and still last in line

we are not geeks

So how did we get the last book you might ask?

We naively walked into B&N at 11:30 thinking we could buy the book at midnight. WRONG-O!! They gave out numbered wrist bands at 10 pm... ooops! So the girl ahead of us in line says "I have 2 books on hold but my friend isn't coming so I only need one wrist band."

So we are next and the book seller lady says "Sorry, we gave away all of the wrist bands already." And I said, "Well the girl in front of us only took one of her two so let us have her extra one."

After a brief conference with a manager we got the honor of being last in line of a gazillion people to pay full price for a book that will be half-off at walmart tomorrow!! Yay!!
