You've got to be shitting me...

Before I left town, I washed several pots/pans and left them in the sink to dry. Came home to a sink full of dirty dishes, including dirty crap tossed on top of the clean stuff I left to be put away. A week ago. Seriously?

I am annoyed.

PS: Yes, it took me 24 hours to get around to cleaning the kitchen. What can I say, I'm exhausted! And I had to keep Carlie home from school today with a tummy ache, which any mom knows that having a sick kid at home adds a whole new dimension of NOT to getting anything done around the house.

PPS: One of the two transcripts I need to have done ASAP did get done, so I was not being a total sloth all day.

Same thing happened when I returned from my girls weekend /half mary. And Hubby was so proud of himself for making a ginourmous portion of split pea soup (which I hate). Guess he didn't have a wild sex orgy, though it could be worse...sigh...

My husband will cover the basics -- kids fed, dishes washed, mail brought in, but unless I tell him clearly what else he should be doing (run the vacuum, do the laundry, fold the laundry, put away the laundry), it doesn't get done.

I also have to be specific. Telling him to "clean the crapper" means he will go into the bathroom and clean only the toilet and nothing else.

You are a champion. I would have ignored those dirty dishes for days, weeks, if necessary, out of spite. Maybe I need to work on that maturity thing a little bit.

so two grown men couldn't clean up after themselves? I'd be upset too...that's not very nice of them.
