Run, Forrest, Run

I ran a mile and a half today. First run since I did a 5k the first weekend of September.

In June, I ran a half-marathon. I didn't die. Today? I ran a mile and a half. And died a little.

Let's break this down now:
Half-marathon = 13.1 miles
5k = 3.1 miles
1.5 miles = 1.5 miles

Also? My running clothes are skin tight. SKIN. TIGHT.

And the final ingredient to this perfect storm? I registered to run another half-marathon in January. Which means I need to be able to run more than 1.5 miles and not die. The not dying part is kind of crucial, and is at the moment the biggest obstacle to my success.

Good luck! I used to run. Then I tried skiing, and running sucked so bad in comparison. Hot, painful, jarring. It's a little sad to have to stand in awe of those I used to consider myself one of. Oh, well! You have my good wishes!

Good luck with the training. I suck at running. You sound much better than me.

Oh, do I feel your pain! Marathon in April and I'm not even running 3 miles regularly right now... I should come up and run that half-mary with you in January!

It is SO disheartening how quickly we lose all our hard earned fitness!

(Makes me crazy, says the lady with the sore muscles from yoga, post-hurt foot.)

May the next miles be easier.

Yeah, I find the not dying part to be key in running;P

I've kind of gotten hooked on the elliptical at the gym at the demise of my running, but I'd much rather be able to say I'm a runner than I'm an ellipticaler.
