The Best Movie You Have Not Seen

We watched Lars and the Real Girl this weekend. It was touted to me as "the best movie you have not seen." And it was really great. In fact, loved it! So did Tim. So if you have not seen Lars and the Real Girl, you need to rent it this weekend, because it is lovely.

It got me to thinking about other great movies that no one has seen, and how much I love finding those gems and watching them and feeling like part of the cool crowd who knows a secret that everyone else does not know. Like I am part of an inside joke with the kids at the popular lunch table.

So thanks to the person (can't remember who) who suggested Lars. To build the list of the best movies you have not seen, I want to add The Station Agent, which is about five years old and was so divine and is one of the best movies I have seen in many years. So you need to rent that one, too!

I have the IMDB plot snyopsis of each movie below to whet your appetite. I would love to delve into any of those hidden gems that you might know about that I don't know about, so I beg of you, hit the comments and add your "best movie you have not seen" to the list!
Oh, and if you have not used Amazon Unbox for movie viewing downloading yet, you don't know what you're missing. I log on to Amazon, choose a movie, choose to buy or rent it, then click download, and like magic, by the end of the day that movie is sitting in my Now Playing list on my Tivo. Life is good! I am easily impressed.

Lars and the Real Girl (2007), starring Ryan Gossling. IMDB plot synopsis: A delusional young guy strikes up an unconventional relationship with a doll he finds on the Internet.

The Station Agent (2003), starring Peter Dinklage. IMDB plot synopsis: When his only friend dies, a man born with dwarfism moves to rural New Jersey to live a life of solitude, only to meet a chatty hot dog vendor and a woman dealing with her own personal loss.
