Happy St. Patrick's Day

I spent St. Patrick's Day at home, with a sick child, which was quite tragic, actually, because said child had collected beautiful green Mardi Gras beads to bestow upon all of her classmates, and had a lovely green sequined necktie to jazz up her plaid school uniform.

As a result of my brain dead home-too-long-with-sick-kid state, I didn't put up my St. Patrick's Day post. And when i say "put up," I mean write it at all. But I did have a good idea. And good ideas don't expire, right, even after the holiday has come on gone (so speaks the woman who is still contemplating sending out her 2008 photo Christmas cards that she found recently when cleaning her room.)
I have a thing for Irishmen (so says Mrs. O'Brien), and so I'd like to share you with you one of my favorite Irishmen, Luka Bloom, paying homage to one of my other favorite Irishmen, Bono. If you don't know Luka Bloom, you will thank me. He is incredible.

Well, OK, because I am a spaz I can't get the video imbedded into the post, but CLICK HERE for Luka Bloom. You won't regret it.

I can't find links, but besides his own incredible music, Luka also covers Abba's Dancing Queen and occasionally Elvis. Because Luka? Can do it all.

Enjoy, belatedly.
