Anywho... my new favorite OCD behavior is counting how many flyers are in the flyer box. Seriously. Like, every 10 minutes. Right now? There are seven. We put the first flyers out Saturday noonish and have printed up 45 total, and seven are left. That's good, right?
Also, every car that slows down and then stops to pick up a flyer? I have to fight the overwhelming urge to run outside and accost the hapless house browsers and give them my sales pitch. Also, every car that slows down but then doesn't stop and pick up a flyer? I have to fight the overwhelming urge to run outside and chase them down the block screaming, "What? My house's not good enough for you, asshole?"
I really should not be working from home while the sign/flyers are out. Nothing good is going to come of this.
We've had exactly one phone call. And that one person came and looked at the house. And they ooh'ed and aah'ed in all of the appropriate places. Yet? Did not offer me cash on the spot. They were obviously defective people. Obviously.
Lastly, can I just say that we've been doing all of the little projects around the house that have gone undone forever, and adding things that I always thought would be nice, but never got around to, but now are essential for staging, like wood blinds. And my house? Is looking really cute. And I? May be changing my mind about selling it. Just saying.
Lastly (for real), my house has been for sale for exactly 52 hours and it has already made me insane.
PS: Thanks for the awesome feedback on the FSBO web site. If I did not make a change you suggested, it is not because your suggestion sucks (because I got no sucky suggestions). It is because I suck and am lazy. But I shall be revising shortly, as soon as I get the rest of the photos taken, which means cleaning, which means... nah, not right now.

When we sold our house in FLA it ended up being so cute with all the changes we made. Did you bury your statue of St.Joseph? Here is a link to a realy cheesy Catholic Supply store - it has to work, right?

this could be seriously crazy-making. i love your cute house!
Go slow, chica! Ours was on the market for 3 months and all the other 3 bedrooms in our building are still 4/S. Breathe in and out slowly.
i'm in!
now i'm going back to read about your hot house.
oh yeah. for sale by owner was totally the way to go for you.
not.
Haha, never easy, isn't it? You'll need a lot of patience to accommodate all potential buyers. Who knows, one of them could be the one who might score you a gold mine, LOL. Good luck!
Be more aggressive in marketing. Use anything that could be helpful to you - the Internet, newspapers, even pamphlets on the street. You'll have to be resourceful, and you have to attract the one customer who needs your house. Good luck!
