So I did not go for a run today. And I did not run six miles this weekend. I pretty much have blown off all of my half-marathon training benchmarks. And, hello, have you met me? IT'S COLD OUTSIDE. I don't *do* cold. So why did I think that it was a good idea to sign up for a half-marathon in January, when it is historically, oh, I don't know, FRIGID. Oh, wait, I know. Because I don't think things through. Oh, yeah. That's it.
But just because I'm a loser, doesn't mean you have to be one too. If you're in the New York area, or want to plan on traveling to New York City in the spring, and you want to do a really good thing, how about running in the New York City Half Marathon in March 2010 in support of the Fresh Air Fund. Click here for info. I won't be heading to New York to humiliate myself with my abysmal running time. But if someone from this blog signs up to run the race, I'll sign up to sponsor you! And for everyone else not in New York that wants to support the Fresh Air Fund, you can be a sponsor too, or just make a donation.
Let's review, shall we? I am lame. I am a quitter. Fresh Air Fund is an awesome organization. Fresh Air Fund needs support. I am less lame by helping get the word out, and you can be totally awesome by running the New York City Half Marathon and letting me sponsor you.
Hopefully Santa and Baby Jesus are both checking my blog today. I need some points on the *nice* list.

Yeah, uh, I'm already committed to that whole marathon in Paris, France in April thing. Otherwise, you know, I'd be all over that.
I bailed on my run yesterday too. I'm supposed to run tomorrow. Uh... crap!
Thou hath points.
I thought you might want to know that you're on the nice list.
Ho ho ho.
Wow. Santa and Jesus commenting in the same day. This ranks right up there with the day The Bloggess DM'ed me on Twitter. Holla!
