Should I be concerned?

So I was loading the dishwasher tonight and noticed this collection of small measuring spoons in the sink, which is peculiar because I haven't cooked anything in, like, forever. So I asked Carlie what was up with the little spoons and she informed me that that's what she "eats with now,"

Apparently, this is her idea of a *diet*, wherein *diet* = OMFG she is 11 and weighs 98 pounds.

Help?

Oh dear. I'd be concerned. But ultimately she's going to take to heart what you say, even if she doesn't admit it. Lots and lots of positive body image encouragement would be my course of action. Good luck and may the goddess force of booze be with you!

Talk to her -- you know the drill. If she still worries about her weight and is eating with tiny measuring spoons, talk to your pediatrician. I'm sure that he/she will want to do a checkup and have a talk with Carlie.

I thought she had taken up baking and I was all set to impression.

Ugh. Why does it start so early? (Then, again, why does it start at all??) The body issues and woes and worries.

Talk to your girl. That's a bit troubling, you know? Nip it in the bud so she'll be good and healthy.

Shit. I hate this. I felt the same way at her age. No advice here.

Are there girls at school teasing her or putting pressure on her? Cripes, you can't even be a kid these days.
